Description: The Flights Manager is responsible for Sunsail Clubs, The Moorings, Club Vass and Crystal Active Flying programmes, reporting to the the Yield Manager. The role will involve ensuring data accuracy, correct procedures are implemented and followed, monitoring product and flight utilisation, maximising revenue generation through effective seat buying. RequirementsMAIN DUTIESFlightsImplement the best flights, ticketing and purchasing system for all productsLoading the main programme and scheduled flights onto the reservations system in the correct duration and product. Review and amend duration mix relative to the sales patterns to maximise the load factors and % bed occupancies in collaboration with Yield.Responsible for managing the sale of empty seats.Manage the internal relationship with First Choice/Tui airlines Work closely with the Yield team on forecasting and purchase seats to meet requirements Budget/forecast responsibilityTo trade with third parties to maximise load factors.Manage group seat bookings and premium seating.Monitor and maintain flying programme and ensure that all involved parties are kept fully informed of any changes.Maintain all flight records and carry out regular programme checks.Check flight invoices and authorise paymentMonitor rate of sale for seat sales and change pricing accordingly.Monitor competitor seat pricing & market seat sales accordingly.To ensure maximisation of flight load factors and minimise the level of dead seats via seat sales.Ensure all Load control reports are completed and key stakeholders communicated to Prepare and check First Choice freesale accountsGeneralFirst point of contact and support for any flight problems with the UK Reservation SystemAct as a key driver for introducing and testing improvements to the flight systemIn conjunction with colleagues within the team ensure that the Outline programme is kept fully up to dateExtensive use of in house Reservation System The IndividualKnowledge, Skills and ExperienceKnowledge and experience of the Holiday industryIn-depth knowledge and direct experience of flights purchasing.Use of spreadsheets for analysis and presentation of dataKnowledge of Amadeus and Gemini flight systems and advantagePersonal QualitiesFirst class negotiation skillsTeam playerPersonableConscientiousOrganisedDetail focusedEnjoys a challengeFlexibleResponsibleTrustworthySupportiveMotivated
