Description: Account Manager required for this leading company. You will be responsible from start to finish managing conferences, events, meetings and product launches. You will organise logistics for these and ensure delegates airline tickets, accommodations are arranged for the best prices, you will thrn present all costings and arrangements to board level to secure the business and the best prices for your designated accounts.RESPONSIBILITIES:·Monitor and control requests relating to nominated accounts.·Research various destinations and hotels, airline and ground agents, based on Meeting Profile specifications and make appropriate recommendations.·Negotiate with all relevant suppliers including airlines and other transportation companies, destination management companies, hotels, conference centres, venues and catering companies, audio visual and print companies.·Research, cost and write the proposal document.·Present to the clients at all senior levels where appropriate.·Hold overall project responsibility for all confirmed events originating within their area and supervise those Event Executives directly responsible to the Event Manager for those projects.·On confirmation of a project, renegotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible rates.·Maintain consistent liaison with the client contact.·Provide the appropriate documentation for each event (specification document, Lotus costings) and maintain an up-to-date and orderly file.·Manage the operations side of the programme and monitor event administration and delegate liaison.·Supervise the on-site operation of the project and liaise with all suppliers.·Have responsibility for project profitability and final reconciliation.·Have a good knowledge of flights and destinations and be able to make logistical recommendations to a client.
