Description: Huntress are working on behalf of a leading Travel organisation in Brighton. Description: The business comprises of two products. We are looking for an individual to take responsibility for a variety of tasks within the Operations department. It is a varied role requiring attention to detail and commercial awareness. The individual would need to be highly motivated and have the ability to work under his or her own initiative. Knowledge of the schools product would be desirable although not essential. Main Duties: Liasing with Ferry suppliers and making bookings/enquiries for both the ski and educational tours Purchasing and quoting all flying requirements for the Skibound/Travelbound product Liasing with our main supplier, Classic Coaches, to secure all airport transfer and coaching arrangements our products Updating transportation codes for the in-house Dataflex system Liasing with the HR department for ferry/coach requests for staff coaches Providing quotes and assistance for flights/transportation to the direct sales department in a quick and efficient manner Key Skills: Excellent communicator coupled with the ability to deal directly with our suppliers by phone in a professional manner. Ability to work under own initiative and to prioritise workload Excellent organisation and administration skills Ability to work well under pressure Desire to meet and exceed deadlines Strive to provide an excellent service to the sales department Applicant requirements: Knowledge of the School's Business and in-house Dataflex system would be an advantage although not essential Experience of Gemini, Word and Excel systems Knowledge of Galileo / Amadeus / IATA and ticketing would be an advantage although not necessary A lively personality with enthusiasm and drive to challenge current systems and processes Ability to work in a pressurised environment and willing to work additional hours as and when required We are looking for someone to help drive the department forward with a passion to excel within the travel industry.
