Description: Our client is a blue chip logistics organisation, providing tailored supply chain solutions to many of the worlds leading manufacturers and retailers. They have a vacancy for a Transport Planner / Supervisor, based in their client dedicated distribution centre in Wiltshire. Principal responsibilities include;oPlanning daily delivery schedules and allocation of driver routes.oLiaising with the client and internal customers to ensure excellent customer service.oAchievement of all operational targets and KPIs.oMonitor and maintain records for driver WTD/RTD, tachographs and absenteeism.oClose liaison with drivers and customers; carry out end of shift driver debriefs.You will have;oExperience in fast moving transport operations.oPC skills; literate with high standard of Word and Excel. oGood communication skills both oral and written. oThe ability to work on your own initiative, prioritising your workload to specified deadlines.Reporting to the Transport Manager, working hours are rotating shifts, earlies, lates and nights with a requirement for flexibility to meet the needs of the business.
