Established for over 40 years, we are one of the largest independent drug agencies in the North West.Duty Officer/Syringe Exchange Worker – Ref: DOS007Community Drugs Team, South Knowsley £21,412 - £23,749 pa pro rata (SCP 26 - 29) 20 hrs pw – 1pm - 5pmAs back up Duty Officer, you will assess new clients whilst working closely with the assessment worker in completing comprehensive assessments, care planning and providing brief interventions. You will also supply and exchange injecting equipment to I/V drug users. You will also be offering a range of interventions and support including harm reduction, advice and information on blood borne virus’s and referral to primary care and partner agencies where appropriate.You should have worked within the drugs field and have experience of assessment and case management.Applications for all this post must be submitted before midday on Friday 20 June 2008.To receive an application form and further details, send a large s.a.e.
