An Excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Archiving Assistant to work for this large corporate City firm. You will be joining a large Facilities team, working to deadline and MUST have previous experience in this areaWorking hours: 35 per week between the hours of 7am and 9pm on a rota basisSalary: £21,000 – 23,000 per annumPurpose of the role:Responsible for archiving duties in London. The job holder will be required to cover other Facilities duties on occasions when requiredMain duties and responsibilitiesAssisting with Deeds & ArchivesProcess requests for retrieval, distribution and collection of deeds and archivesIndex old papers for archivingMaintain departmental records relating to deeds and archivesOrganise on-site storage areas and maintain in good orderEnsure items sent for storage are labelled accuratelyCheck details in archive boxes is correct.General DutiesWork within Facilities Department operational procedures and legislative requirementsAssist in Health and Safety activities such as DSE assessments, hazard spotting etc, as directed by the Facilities SupervisorTo undertake other duties as required by the Facilities SupervisorQualificationsEducated to GCSE standard or equivalent, including maths and EnglishRelevant ExperienceRelevant experience of working in a Facilities Department and Archives within a similar professional services environmentExperienced in a customer service/partnering environment; highly customer-focusedKey SkillsAbility to work both as part of a team and unsupervisedGood communication skillsAbility to work under pressureAbility to use PC based departmental systems effectivelyPersonal Qualities / BehavioursGood attention to detailHighly motivated with a ‘can-do’ approach towards all given tasksAdaptable to work in other areas of Facilities operationsUnderstanding of privacy and confidentialityExcellent timekeeping and attendance record
