Description Materials Scientist, New Product Development y1212awWe are looking for a polymer scientist or materials specialist to work as a Scientist in the New Product Development Team. 50% of your time will be spent coordinating test programmes with the study team, maintaining project files, designing history files and general inhouse information Management. The remainder of your 50% time will be working hands-on in the laboratory performing R&D and characterisation tests on bio-polymersTests will include; mechanical testing and materials analysis, such as Functional tests and Vacuum mixing systems, IR and Wet Chemistry among others. You may also be involved with the redesign of the shape of the cement ExperienceBSc in Materials Science or a related areaYou must have experience from a R&D team either from at least a 6 month university project or a year in industry focused on one the following; Ideally: inhalers, injectors or medical devicesIndividuals who have worked with plastics or materials sciences or injection moulding form a relevant industry will also be considered Personality You must be outgoing and proactiveLocation North WestSalary AttractiveContract 1 year Is this you?
