Description: AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY WITH ONE OF THE MARKET LEADERS IN ITS CHOSEN FIELD.Hawes Signs is one of the leading UK and European suppliers of high quality Corporate Identity Signage to Blue Chip organisations. We design, manufacture, install and maintain on behalf of national and multi-national companies in the Automotive, Retail, Supermarket, Petroleum and Finance sectors and have the most technically advanced manufacturing facility in the industry with an extended workforce of 400+. Our products combine to form high profile roll out contracts ranging from a few £100K upwards to £10M+ programmes. We are looking to recruit the following position with an immediate start at our Northampton site to manage a prestigious account with a major blue chip player in the supermarket sector. Applications are invited from people who thrive on rewarding and exciting challenges:Account Manager(Salary £neg + benefits)As part of our management team, take overall responsibility for our relationship with a major supermarket in order the objectives of increasing the value, security and profitability of the account. This will require close working with our competitive joint suppliers to our customer as well as our own dedicated Senior Project Manager and fellow senior managers.This will be achieved by:- Monitor and improve the overall profitability of the contract, working with the Executive Team to achieve cross-functional benefits- Maintain or improve our position as the lead signage supplier to our Customer.- Negotiate prices and terms to meet the cost-down objectives of our Customer and, at the same time, protecting our profit- Lead the “tripartite group” (TPG) of sign suppliers to the development programme- Lead our participation in the customer’s “capability management” process- Actively extend and strengthen Hawes Signs’ contact with our customer contacts, enhancing our reputation and influenceIt is preferable but not essential for the successful applicant to have a sound knowledge of the signage industry and/or supermarket sector .You will be able to demonstrate proven success in managing key accounts, be adaptable and flexible to rapid change with the ability to converse across all different levels in both Hawes and Client organisations.Personal Skills/Attributes1.
