Description: My client requires a Procurement specialist to expand the team in one of there major blue chip clients which is based in the Reading area. The successful individual will form part of a specialist purchasing team for Indirect Goods and Services, such as: recruitment, consultancy, information technology and office services. This team predominantly supports the purchasing of our client’s indirect services within the UK, however the individual would be required to travel and support international clients. My client has had 100 % growth over the last few years as an international procurement solutions provider creates an internal environment where there are significant medium term opportunities to grow into new roles within this team, or to move to new teams within other clients in the future. Key Responsibilities/Key duties Liaising with the business to define end user requirements Preparation and execution of tendering processes Sourcing, liaison and negotiation with new and existing suppliers Drafting contracts in conjunction with legal Communication and advising on rates and market information Supplier management of key relationships The Individual The ideal candidate will have experience leading or working on large complex contracts for blue chip companies which delivered cost savings High-calibre, enthusiastic individual, with motivation to learn new skills Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to demonstrate significant maturity and professionalism Experience of developing sourcing strategies and be able to efficiently deal with all aspects of tendering processes Knowledge of SAP and other relevant purchasing technologies would also be a significant advantage International travel may be necessary occasionally therefore, flexibility in order to do so is essential The ideal candidate will be degree educated and relevant procurement qualifications would be advantageous Package plus benefits: pension, 23 holiday, life insurance, income protection, child care voucher and training
