As a Store Manager you will strive to achieve store sales targets by maximising sales opportunities, as well as maintaining excellent customer service. You will have responsibility for managing the store team, and will motivate, coach and develop them to enhance the overall performance of the store. You may currently be working at managerial or supervisory level and looking to develop your career in retail management.You will need to have customer service experience and the ability to excel in a sales environment. You will be motivated to increase the sales within the store, committed to providing excellent customer service and keen to develop new business within the store.JOB DESCRIPTIONJOB TITLE:Store ManagerREPORTING TO: Regional ManagerDATE ISSUED:February 2002PRIMARY OBJECTIVETo contribute to the overall performance and well being of the Company by achieving excellence in sales, customer service and people management. MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES·Maximise all sales opportunities within the store.·To recruit, develop, manage and motivate store staff to meet sales, service and cost control targets.·To manage sub-contractors on site·To monitor, control and manage all stores related costs.·To manage all resources to maximise store sales and profits.·Be knowledgeable of Allied’s complete product ranges and the features and benefits of each of the said products.·To monitor and maintain Company security standards and procedures relating to premises stock and cash.·To monitor and maintain effective Health and Safety procedures and practices to ensure the safety of all employees, and compliance with statutory regulations. (E.g. HASAW Act 1974, COSHH Act 1988).·To ensure that the store staff and management team are aware of, and adhere to all Company policies and procedures.·Maintain high standards of Company image through, for example: personal presentation, appropriate business dress, professionalism at all times and excelling in customer service.·Ensure that all necessary documentation and store paperwork is neatly and accurately completed in line with Company and store operating procedures.·To liase with departments throughout the business to ensure the accurate & timely provision to customers of the products & services that they have selected.·Take part in general operational duties as directed by the Regional manager.·Assist in the implementation of all Company training and operational initiatives.·Maintain good housekeeping and store presentation standards
