Description: Role: Trainee Recruitment Consultant (IT Sector) Location: Brighton Earnings: £18k basic plus an excellent commission structure. Job Description Recruitment is a consultative sales role. Recruitment Consultants sell people to Companies and opportunities to people. Responsibilities Stage 1 Business Development Generating client base Assessing clients recruitment needs Selling company recruitment solutions Stage 2 Recruitment Sales Cycle Receiving and qualifying job descriptions from the clients Searching for suitable candidates using a variety of sources Selling job opportunities to candidates Managing applications and short listing suitable candidates within tight deadlines Stage 3 Selection Interview candidates for selection purposes to ensure technical as well as cultural fit (telephone or face to face where possible) Fully qualify candidates on the role, location, rate, client requirements (such as credit checks or reference policies) Prepare CVs for submission including filling in coversheets Arrange and book interviews, brief and prepare candidates for interview Ongoing contact with placed candidates to ensure quality assurance delivery Record Keeping and Administration Maintaining client and applicant records to the standards laid down by the Employment Agencies Act and the Quality Management System Accurate recording of details of new Clients on to the database Ensuring that any client requirements are recorded in as much detail as possible Ensuring that details of the recruitment process i.e. CVs sent, interviews arranged, vacancy requirements and placements are recorded in a timely and accurate fashion Skills, Knowledge & Attributes Good computer skills and ability to acquire knowledge of the in-house candidate database swiftly in order to be able to undertake multi-level searches Good reasoning skills and ability to screen and eventually interview applicants Excellent telephone skills Presentation skills Knowledge of the market place and of competitors Negotiation skills Technical knowledge Ability to project professionalism and personality over the phone and face to face Networking skills Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines Good time management skills Ability to multi-task Attention to detail The role of a Trainee Recruitment Consultant requires that you undertake lots of telephone work, sourcing potential candidates and generating new business. Your hard work will be rewarded with career progression to become a Senior Recruitment Consultant.
