Description: HOURS: 8.45 - 5.15 Monday to Thursday, 8.45 - 4.45 Friday 1 hour lunch(not paid) Part time to start then Full time hours from SeptemberWorking with Community and Environment Assisting Asset Management Open design and town regeneration teams Must be computer literate with strong admin skills able to attend meeting and take minutes and be able to work on own initiative FULL JOBSPECTechnical Customer and Business Support (Assets, Design & regeneration Team)Principal ResponsibilitiesTo assist the Senior Customer & Business Area Support Officer and Team Leader in maximising the use of the Team's resources (i.e. human, physical, and financial), and in the provision of effective, efficient, and economic high quality services.To ensure that the needs of external and internal customers are given high priority, and, where appropriate, to be the first point of contact for those customers.To assist the Senior Customer & Business Area Support Officer and Team Leader in ensuring that the objectives, strategies, and policies of the Council are met in line with the Business Area and individual work plan.To operate, as required, office machines including personal computers, photocopiers, scanners and packing machines.To maintain the Business Area's filing systems and/or technical library.To maintain manual record systems.To maintain records using the Council's in-house or package-based computer systems.To scan, index and maintain records using the Document Management System.To work within the Council's policies and procedures, standing orders, financial regulations etc. reflecting the Council's objectives to ensure continued improvement in service delivery.To carry out all responsibilities in accordance with current Health and Safety at Work legislation, and with due regard to environmental and sustainability issues.Work within policies and procedures as necessary to meet customer needs both within the team and which reflect the Council's corporate objectives and current legislation. Carry out all responsibilities with due regard for equalities and diversity issues, reflecting the Council's commitment to equality of opportunity in all aspects of service delivery.Ensure the proper security of information and records in accordance with the Council's policies on Information Management and Data Security and all relevant legislation, such as the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts.Such other reasonable duties requiring the Postholder's experience and expertise as may be allocated by the Senior Customer & Business Area Support Officer, Team Leader and/or Strategic Manager from time to time, commensurate with the status of the post.To be the initial point of contact dealing with technical queries on behalf of Community & Environment Business Area, and taken appropriate action, where necessary.To provide technical administrative support and assistance to other staff within the Business Area.To support project working within the Business Area and corporately.
