Description: Our client is a successful manufacturing organisation with a substantial site situated near Cambridge. They now require a Safety Manager to champion Health and Safety, influencing at all levels within the organisation.This is a broad manufacturing Health and Safety position working with staff from the production line to senior management. Responsibilities will include compliance with existing and upcoming legislation; improving the safety culture where possible to minimise accidents and occupational health issues; keeping the H&S management system up-to-date and advising management on any relevant trends, stats and results; coordinating the contracted security team.The successful candidate is likely to be qualified to at least GradIOSH level, however candidates who demonstrate a strong track record as a Safety Manager within a similarly complex manufacturing environment will also be considered. It is likely that your experience will have been gained within a regulated environment such as food or pharmaceuticals. Of equal importance will be your interpersonal and communication skills.
