To base this on a clear and effective process. Sales-skills development: Half-termly sales meetings Ad-hoc specific training as required Induction trainingAssist individuals in developing a sales careerBuild a positive team culture through the operation of activities described here Organise team work to maximise revenue while also meeting team and individual needs. Identify team requirements and address them.Staff managementWhen relevant, at the end of the underperformance process, to deal effectively with removing underperformers from the team. Make effective line management decisions, based on excellent judgements Other HR aspects of line management Understand and manage individuals as individuals, but within a framework of a consistent team and company approachReportingThe sales manager will be an inspirational sales leader capable of driving and developing a sales team to deliver the targets set. They will therefore be a strong leader capable of inspiring people to deliver targets, a strong, perceptive coach able to develop skills a highly credible, solutions salesperson. Specific Experience:LeadingPrevious experience in a solutions sales leadership role. This is unlikely to be less than 2 years managing a team of 10 and may well be significantly more.CoachingExperience coaching and mentoring others. A significant range of coaching experience is looked for. Formal coaching training is desirable. SellingProven personal track record in a solutions sales environment Formal sales training, ideally including both complex solution sales and consultative selling.OtherExcellent process and systems skills.
