Main FunctionTo forward load and plan all aspects of the Company’s production activities in conjunction with the Shopfloor Supervisor and Transport Controller, in order to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of work.Main Responsibilities1.To forward load and plan (under the guidance of the Shopfloor Supervisor) all job cards by use of planning boards or computer spreadsheetsto establish sequence and lead time of each operation (in-house and sub-contract) in order to ensure that jobs are produced as efficiently as possible and on time. 2.To plan all sub-contract work into the production schedule and to liaise with the transport manager as and when required.3.To confer with department supervisors to determine status of jobs.4.To report to sales personnel at the earliest possible opportunity where problems arise, so that earlier contact may be made with the customer.5.To keep such records of production performance as may be requested.6.To keep holiday records up to date.7.To generate delivery notes if requested by Shopfloor Supervisor.8.To carry out any other reasonable tasks as may be required from time-to-time by management which are within the job-holder’s capabilities, such aspreparing lists of required materials, tools, and equipment, and to prepare purchase orders to obtain materials, tools, and equipment.Key SkillsGood customer awarenessWorks well under pressureBasic engineering knowledgeFlexibleGood level of administrative skills and attentive to detailWorks well in a team environmentKeeps up-to-date with Company’s engineering processes and resources
