Description: Leading Cancer CharityHead of Community FundraisingBased in Central LondonSalary: £33,000 - £35,000Reference: 30081PGCLOSING DATE: MONDAY 16TH JUNEOur client, who are a leading cancer charity, are looking to recruit a Head of Community Fundraising to grow income, profile and volunteering opportunities in local communities throughout the UK. The main responsibilities include:Assisting the Director of Fundraising to manage and achieve the overall objectives of our client's fundraising operation efficiently and dynamically. Producing a draft annual operational plan and budget for activities within your control and operate to maximum effect within a agreed plan and budget. Ensuring that voluntary Branches receive prompt communications and excellent customer service at all times. Maximise numbers and fundraising potential of the client's voluntary Branches and other local fundraisers. Working with scientific and press teams to promote the effectiveness of the clients as a national and local charity, ensuring that the regional fundraisers have adequate knowledge about research in their areas. Working with the scientific team to organise Open Days. Developing and promoting a strategy to increase volunteering at all levels. Working with the fundraising team on others to: a. Develop an effective marketing and communications strategy for activities within your controlb. Update and develop appropriate web, printed and promotional materials whilst ensuring consistency when presenting the client's image.Working closely with the team to manage workloads and maximise job satisfaction. The successful candidate will have experience of managing fundraising income of at least £1 million. They will also have the ability to plan and delegate an intensive workload and good team management & development, strategic and budgeting skills.
