Description: Oracle Apps DBA/Database Administrator/Software Engineer Thames Valley 33-40K A high profile Education in the Thames Valley /Oxford region is looking for an Oracle Apps DBA/Software Engineer to join in this pivotal role. As Oracle Apps DBA you will be involved with a variety of Oracle DBA tasks including database updates, patches, performance tuning, setting up test environments, back ups, disaster recovery, monitoring and diagnosing faults amongst other tasks. The company is offering a fantastic opportunity to progress within the organisation, and is looking for somebody with exceptional drive and ambition. Technical skills must include strong experience within an Oracle DBA role, along with excellent PL/SQL skills. Unix and NT scripting, DataGuard, RMAN and OEM are advantageous. The candidate will be required to provide technical guidance to the development staff, and have strong communication skills.
