This is a senior role within the teamcharged with enhancing web based and digital services for its internal andexternal customers. With the businessundergoing an exciting period of transformation, the successful candidate will beat the frontline shaping and driving new media and digital development solutionsacross the whole organisation.This is a pivotal and highly visible role reportingto the Head of Digital. The Digital/Web Architect will oversee the design and developmentof digital and new media solutions and application infrastructure. Working with3rd party vendors, internal team members and the business, the Digital/WebArchitect is responsible for ensuring the digital vision is underpinned by ascalable, stable and maintainable applications and infrastructure which fitsthe business requirements and provides best value.The core areas of development willencompass digital content publishing, digital marketing, application frameworks;include CMS, eCRM and e-commerce amongst others.Your main responsibilities will revolvearound applying technical expertise of systems/software concept design at the feasibilitystage, to question and challenge the proposed solutions to enable thedevelopment of robust solutions that meet and exceed business needs. You willbe able to identify and design appropriate methods of deliver as well as managethe development of new media/digital solutions through in house or externalvendors.Developing and managing effectively the 3rdParty vendor relationships will also be a key part of the role. The vendorswill be taking your lead on technical and operational requirements fordelivery. You will also be working closely and collaboratively with ProjectManagers, providing technical expertise and feasibility assessment at proof ofconcept and scoping of project phase.In terms of technical requirements, we arehoping to attract individuals who have strong knowledge in the following areas;the Microsoft technology stack, CMS knowledge, eCRM and e-commerce platforms, Socialnetworking/community development, mobile and intranet applications and goodproject management delivery experience.
