Description: To work within the Card Operations team to ensure that robust solutions, tools and techniques for managing Industry requirements for Card Operations and ensuring that the Bank is compliant across industry bodies and regulators.This is a challenging role, as it will have responsibility and accountability for ensuring that the business remains compliant with all card industry mandates and changes and ensure all industry returns are completed in a timely manner. Key Accountabilities Overview:Own and drive Actions, Issues and Risks (AIRs) for all industry Journeys:Maintain AIRs containing all activity concerning Abbey and Industry requirements.Take inputs from Visa Online and MasterCard online concerning new industry developments and follow through with internal customers.Regularly review and provide update to Manager and Card Operations on progress:Be responsible for ensuring that the Card Operations Flight path documentation is maintained and reflective of progress.Chase outstanding actions, manage related projects and escalate slippages and successes where appropriate.Manage scheme relationships between Abbey and Industry Schemes:Building relationships for the benefit of the business and gaining respect of other industry colleagues.Ensure communication between IT and business divisions is managed effectively:Collate information from the industry including Visa Business Enhancements and MasterCard Release requirements.Communicate key messages, and detail where required, to IT teams enabling them to adequately support process and user requirements.Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:Ability to structure, analyse and problem solve complex problems.Strong prioritisation and organisation skills.Able to produce high quality deliverables within tight and immovable deadlines.Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Project, Powerpoint, Word and Excel.
