Description: Position: Group Financial Controller Location: Belfast Our Client is a market leader in the manufacture, distribution and servicing of safety and survival equipment. The Group operates seven manufacturing sites in four countries, distribution and servicing operations in a further seven together with an affiliated manufacturing sub-contractor in China. In addition to supplying their own distribution chain, their products are supplied worldwide to leading service and distribution organizations, major manufacturers, military, government and local authority agencies. The Client is seeking to fill the role of Group Financial Controller as the current jobholder is moving to a different position within the Group, presenting an ideal handover situation. The Group Financial Controller, who will report directly to the Finance Director, will manage group reporting for the 14 business units plus the Head Office function and will oversee the following activities: · Finance and accounting · Budgeting and forecasting · Financial reviews · Group Taxation They are seeking a person who will confidently embrace the established high standards of financial reporting and who will be able to demonstrate a consistent background with progressively greater responsibility and accomplishment throughout their career. Solid accounting and financial fundamentals are required and experience of group accounting systems would be advantageous. The position is based just outside Belfast, and will involve a limited amount of travel to some of the operating units both in the UK and overseas. The position will attract an executive salary and benefits package.
