Description: Systems Analyst - Surrey - Systems AnalystMy client is a leader within the travel industry looking for a systems analyst. The right systems analyst will be responsible for undertaking and documenting User requirements and procedures for new application development and enhancements to existing systems, whilst considering business strategy, external influences, system constraints and efficiencies. To provide, individually and through team participation, system support services for all the companyâ??s operational data management and bespoke server applications.Summary of Duties includes: Working closely with business users, IT colleagues and 3rd party vendors to recommend the best solution to meet business needs.You must have had:Involvement in designing applications in Microsoft technologies requiredDesirable if worked in a RUP environmentGood knowledge of Use Cases, Story board and UML required for writing functional specifications.To be capable of writing logical and physical system modelling using DFDâ??s and UML designExperience of working in a SCRUM environment is advantageousApplication analysis and design from user requirements is essentialExtensive development within Web technologies using ASP, ASP.net, C#.net, IIS, Ajax, UML and XML desirableTo be familiar with ITIL best practicesKey Accountabilities will include:Works with users to investigate operational problems, seeking effective solutions through improvements in information systems and data managementWorking alone or as part of a team, analyses the underlying issues arising from support investigations problems, and identify available options for consideration.Experience of application support and to manage the existing systems and develop new projects MI report maintenance and developmentResponsible for the analysis, design and development of reports for the purpose of management information across all databases. Provide support for ad hoc data requests from business and IT colleagues as per the Helpdesk priority agreement placed on the callDevelopment and Test environment setup and controlEnsure that system and user-acceptance test environments within the Windows and SQL Server environments are available as per business requirements.
