Description: A ‘Rising Star’ is required to fill a director role in a Cambridge based start up company.We require someone with a top notch educational background and strong programming skills. You will be required to manage product development and software releases.You should ideally have experience of most of the responsibilities listed below either from a previous director position of project manager role.Manage development staffLine manage development staff (currently 5, but growing fast)Role in selection & review of development staffOverall responsibility for prioritisation of bugs/features (delegate)Monitor progress of development workRelease managementOwnership of release deliveryCoordinate customer/internal feature requirementsRole in future release/feature planningEstimation of development time for new/proposed features (with developers)Overall responsibility for scheduling tasksMonitor/test/improve build processDecision on when releases are ready to go outMonitor bug reportsEnsure that patch versions are created when neededRevise the versioning system for releases (CVS/script tags)Code developmentWrite requirements for featuresWrite functional specifications for featuresCoding (pref. C & Java, C more important)
