Description: BSI British Standards works with a range of businesses, consumers and governments to facilitate the production of standards for all aspects of modern life, both here and abroad. Right now we’re investing heavily in our online platform, focusing on making it easier for our customers to search for the standards that apply to their products and services from medical devices to construction and environmental practices.Part of our small ePublishing team, our new Online Applications Engineer will make this their prime focus, building sophisticated applications and systems that provide value-added information products. On a day-to-day level, you’ll be working with internal clients on a range of projects: taking briefs and devising pioneering solutions that provide a platform for the future progression of the organisation. Most likely from an information background, you’ll be familiar with building search applications and manipulating content relationships. You’ll also be fluent in HTML and have a good working knowledge of XML. In addition you’ll need to be highly motivated with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well both as part of a team and under your own initiative.
