Based within 30 miles of Watford.Our client specializes in the provision of IT goods and services to small and medium enterprises in the private, public and charity sectors.This incorporates network consultancy, procurement, installation and support services within the Microsoft environment.Their breadth of experience enables them to provide a total outsourced network management solution for the SME or alternatively provide IT skills to compliment a client’s in-house resource.The company was originally established in 1982 and has been trading under its current name since 1999.As an independent IT consultancy company they are committed to supplying customer specific solutions to benefit an organization.A team of trained sales and technical staff are employed to ensure high levels of service.Our client maintains partnerships with leading vendors to enable them to provide outstanding levels of knowledge and support.Sales Executive / New Business Development ManagerHead office is based in Near Watford but the role of sales executive / business development manager will be field and office based (around 60% office).The company is well established and growth is planned and sustainable.The role will encompass following up pre qualified leads and resurrecting old quotes with potential clients. You will also need to be capable of finding and following up your own leads. There are also a number of existing clients where business can be developed.You will need 3-5 years sales experience preferably some in internal sales and some in face to face field sales. This is a new business development role so you must have most of your experience in new business development rather than account management. You will need a full understanding of IT products and have sold products / services within the SME arena.Our clients mainly deals with companies of 5-500 users with their niche in the 5-50 market.As there are quotes and tenders to be prepared you will need good communication skills both written and verbal.You will be keen and ambitious with the ability to take over the sales function form the sales director. It is envisaged that the individual will build and manage a sales team of 4 within 2 years.Commission is paid at the rate of 15% on all sales from the fist £1 once basic target has been achieved.Basic salary will not be a barrier to the right person but circa £25k - £30k with an ote of £40k year 1 uncapped then £60k.Car allowance £330 per month or Inland Revenue mileage at 40p will be paid.Candidates could opt for car allowance and then change after a few months or indeed opt for mileage and change to car allowance if desired later on.
