Description: Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to provide network support services, including hardware installation, support and maintenance activities and to manage network performance through monitoring work and maintain a stable environment for all their local sites. The successful candidate will also deliver the network elements of projects and advise on the specification and development of network topologies.The Senior Network Engineer is a specialist role that involves being an escalation reference for members of the team, applying knowledge to assist and help those develop their skills.This is a mobile technical role that provides the expertise to keep data communication services up and running, thereby providing resilient access to systems and staff.You must have good written and oral communication abilities and must be able to write good technical documentation and have the ability to prioritise a busy workload. You must have a full clean UK driving licenece as frequent car travel in the Essex area will be required. Also some heavy lifting may be required for this role.Technical skills : CCNP, MCSE, TCP/IP, Cisco routers and switches, Cisco IOS, OSPF Routing, Wireless skills, Windows NT4/2000/XP/2003 Server, knowledge of firewalls, DHCP/WINS/DNS, Microsoft Office 2000/XP, Internet Explorer
