Description: POSITION:HR MGRREPORTS TO: MANAGING DIR CIPD MemberRelated/HR Degree 5-7 yrs HR generalist covering full range of functions incl mgmt experience Experience at snr mgmt level working with Dir/Board level Analytical skills (interpreting, planning, reporting) Relationship builder; strong interpersonal skills; patient and persistentEvidence of support to mgmt in employee relations Broad role in relatively flat structure provides challenge for someone from a larger organisation; opportunity to take ownership and have involvement with the snr mgmt team Within reasonable commute; able to travel when required 1.Provide recruitment service to line management: selection of consultants where appropriate; advertising; selection interviewing 2.Develop (in conjunction with General Manager and Finance Director) and administer company car policy. 3.Develop and maintain policies and procedures U.K. 4.Counsel all management levels in labour relations; employment; conditions; health and safety and ensure consistent application of personnel policies relating to hiring; termination's; promotions and demotions with General Manager and Line Managers. 5.Administer Company appraisal system.. 6.Conduct salary/benefit surveys and compile salary review programme for Company. 7.Assist as required by General Manager with any aspect of the above in relation to the South Africa affiliates, in particular salary review process. 8.To monitor, appoint and liaise with the "Contracted Out? Management of the facilities in the U.K. 9.Special projects or duties as assigned by General Manager or Director, International Human Resources. DUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 1.CIPD Qualified 2.MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:5-7 years in Personnel plus 3-5 years as generalist responsible for a complete range of Personnel Admin/Human Resources functions including : Resources Planning; Recruitment; Organisation Development; Benefits Administration; Wage & Salary Administration; Employee Relations; Safety & Health; Training and Development. 3.PREFERRED EDUCATION:Bachelor degree in Psychology or Industrial Relations/Personnel 4.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:Generalist with proven managerial competence and experience in all the above functions with knowledge of: Labour Relations Laws; Equal Opportunities Legislation; Health & Safety Legislation. PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1.Control of department expenses, staff salaries supplies and equipment per agreed budget. 2.Ensure effective and timely recruitment of staff to meet organisational needs. 3.Ensure procedures in place and work with line management towards continual development of staff 4.Continually review and advise on competitiveness of terms and conditions of employment 5.Develop and maintain systems to promote effective communications and motivation of employees 6.Develop and maintain (in conjunction with General Manager) Industrial Relations audit to ensure a highly motivated, cohesive workforce is maintained.
