Description: LGV Delivery Driver - Cylinders & Cardice Reports to: Cylinder Distribution SupervisorMAIN PURPOSE OF JOBProvide an efficient delivery and collection service for industrial gas packaged goods, and ancillary equipment to customer sites. DIMENSIONSTo carry out the above duties in a safe and diligent manner, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.Ensure that all associated delivery / collection paperwork is completed in a legible and accurate manner in accordance with ALUK procedures.Be responsible for carrying out all specified daily vehicle checks to ensure safe operation and to comply with all legaslative requirements. all defects must be reported to the cylinder distribution supervisor.Ensure that vehicles are safely loaded and that weight checks are carried out to ensure legal compliance, this should include individual axle weights and vehicle gross weights.Ensure that all legal obligations are complied with regarding the eu drivers hours rules and regulations and that all tachographs are completed correctly and returned to the cylinder distribution supervisor.Ensure full compliance with all current CDG / ADR dangerous goods regulations including a knowledge of products carried and the associated documentation requirements ( Transport emergency cards, delivery notes and journey sheets)To comply with your allocated daily route as published by the centrall planning department and to report immediately if the published route is departed from.ensure that all issued PPE is used in the correct manner and where required, and to ensure that old or worn out PPE is returned to the distribution supervisor for replacement.Ensure that a smart and tidy appearance is maintained at all times.
