Description: Air Liquide UKJob Title: Transport Supervisor - Cylinders & Cardice Reports to: Cylinder Planning SupervisorMAIN PURPOSE OF JOBProvide an efficient transport administration service for the ALUK operation. DIMENSIONSReceipt of delivery schedules from the central planning function, including collation and issuing to site delivery drivers. issue and stock control of all required PPE for drivers. collection of tachographs in a timely manner to satisfy current legislation ( tachographs to be sent to a central location for electronic analysis)provide a contact point for drivers and central planning function for queries, customer requests and delivery failures. Ensure a pre set vehicle maintenance schedule is complied with, to “o” licence standards.provide a communication link between production and central planning for product shortages.provide a general administration service to assist the transport operation.provide emergency cover for driving duties.ensure completion of aluk drivers annualised hours scheme. Transport Supervisor KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREDIT Skills – Ability to fully use PC’s and associated software. also have the ability to use Office outlook, excel spreadsheets, word processing.Ability to work on own initiative when required to organise and prioritise work under a pressurised environment and adapt readily in response to operational changes. Attention to accuracy is vital.Flexibility – Adapt to meet the requirements of the distribution operation.The job holder must be prepared to cover other tasks when requested to meet the day to day requirements of the business.General understanding of transport operations and current transport legislation.The above tasks and competencies are a guide to the job and its requirements, they are not exhaustive and may change from time to time to meet the requirements of the operation and overall business,KEY RESULT AREASProvide a tachograph administration service ensuring nil outstanding tachographs, arrange for delivery of tachographs to central analysis location.Calculation of drivers annualised hours scheme ensuring accuracy of drivers time sheets.COMMUNICATIONS AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPSWork closely with central cylinder and cardice Planning Team, communication with internal departments.
