Description: · To liase and support the Production, Production Engineering and Quality Assurance departments. · To carryout full audit inspection of machined, sub-assembled and fully assembled components. · To record all information from above teardowns/inspections in a controlled manner and co-ordinate cross-functional cellular reviews of concerns highlighted, including formulation of action plans. · To report any findings to the relevant Quality Engineer and Production Supervisor. · To carry out full teardown of engines used in Production Validation Test Programmes. · To ensure all gauged and measuring equipment, torque wrench's etc are calibrated and used according to procedure. · To carryout MNa 1 studies on assemblies in accordance to the specified procedures and schedules. · To assist in the completion of on site product audits. · To carry out cleanliness checks on components to schedule. · Experience in the use of general metrology equipment in the form of roundness tester, optical projector, surface finish tester, mercer air gauging and small gauges such as external / internal micrometers, depth micrometers, comparitors etc.. · To provide and interpret data from inspection reports. To be able to relate this to other departments in order that actions may be taken to resolve day to day quality issues. · To have a good understanding and working knowledge of engineering drawings including their geometrical symbols, tolerances and significant features · To interpret capability data for new product introduction. · To create Production part approval reports (PPAP) for new product introduction, including marked up drawings, collection and presentation of data. · To issue gauges in absence of Gauge Calibration supervision. · To assist in gauge repeatability and reproducibility studies. · To carry out any other duties deemed necessary in order to achieve the objectives of the department / company · To adhere to health and safety / environmental statutory and company rules and regulations. · To act in a safe manner on all the above activities in line with the company's safety policy
