Description:
This is an immediately available position for a Manufacturing Engineer in the aerospace industry.
The manufacturing engineer needs to be familiar with the working With -
Thin gauge stainless steel,
High nickel alloys Titanium (and it?s aerospace alloys).
Operations involved will include -:
Laser profiling,
Folding,
Pressing,
Assembly and welding (principally fusion and resistance).
Liaison with customers, suppliers & subcontractors as well as working closely with the manufacturing team & designers is required.
The Manufacturing Engineer would be responsible for specifying material requirements, defining suitable methods of manufacture and identifying & implementing necessary tooling & equipment.
An understanding of Aerospace Procedures and their relevant importance would be a high priority.
Good verbal & written communication skills, general IT literacy and familiarity with CAD will be needed in the role. The manufacturing engineer will be flexible, managing their workload to respond to meet customer requirements.
An understanding of high detail engineering drawing?s along with the ability to use AutoCAD to change detail and add additional information would also be beneficial.
