Description: Embedded software engineers Layer1 / PHY Layer for wireless comms, mobile handset company sought. Candidates will be skill in embedded coding in C for PHY & layer 1 devices for 2G & 3G communications. Additional knowledge in TD-SCDMA or LTE would be a huge plus.DSP Layer 1 Software development engineers required by our Cambridge based client to design and develop Layer 1 and Physical layer SW for 3GPP modems.Candidates will be degree qualified (or equivalent) with commercial experience in real time embedded systems, ideally from the mobile communications industry.Skills and Knowledge sought:oDesign and implementation of real time embedded systems in CoEmbedded DebuggingoWorking knowledge / Design & implementation of 2G/3G Layer 1 and PHY SWDesirableoRTOSoKnowledge of TD-SCDMA SystemsoBeyond 4G protocols such as LTEoUnderstanding of HW design.The successful applicant will be responsible for architecting, designing, implementing, testing Layer 1 and Physical layer software. Staying current with mobile standards and implementing them.
