We work closely with local partners to deliver a range of business support and training services to the local community, and we represent the views and meet the needs of our 1,200 business Members.Our core purpose is to improve the local economy and enhance the position of local businesses and people. Awarded “Chamber of the Year 2007”, St Helens Chamber has grown significantly over the last two years and now employs over 150 staff and has a turnover of £10m.St Helens Chamber is actively involved in encouraging and supporting employer engagement with learning providers and schools to widen the opportunities available to young people. You will help to generate interest in and the co-ordination of learning opportunities for the new National Diplomas, extended work experience and tailored placements, working with local businesses.You will have sound knowledge of the education system, including 14-19 reforms, be persuasive and able to develop professional relationships across a range of industry and educational environments.
