Description: Our Client is looking for a Welsh Speaking Helpline Adviser to join their team which is based in Cardiff City Centre. The hours of work are flexible between the hours of 9am - 9pm with Saturday mornings. The purpose of the role is to promote and provide a front-line telephone service to clients, offering information and advice on training, education, career opportunities, funding and childcare sign posting and referring to appropriate organisations when necessary. The role of the successful candidate will be as follows:- - Day to day manning of the Helpline as per rota allocation, responding to all calls. - Informing clients and partner organisations of services provided. - Diagnosing clients needs, sign-posting or referring when appropriate to internal or external partners. - Giving information on training, education, careers, funding and childcare. - Entering client information accurately, observing confidentiality policy into the Client Enquiry Management System. - Ensuring current and accurate information is available at all times for relaying to the clients. - This will include regular research identifying training course information gaps, career routes, liasing with local regional and national contacts. - Dissemination of information to relevant persons and organisations. - Ensuring that all information received is dated and filed either to the office system. The job holder must posses the following:- - Competent to the standard of Intermediate level Microsoft Word and Excel. - Accurate keyboard skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Welsh and be numerate. - Excellent telephone manner, ability to stay calm and composed. - Ability to diagnose callers needs and respond or refer appropriately. - Excellent knowledge & use of customer care. - Knowledge of education and training systems would be advantageous. - Ability to access and retrieve information from a variety of careers and adult guidance databases which are held in a variety of formats. - Ability to prioritise workload and work on own initiative and as a team member.
