Description: Key accountabilities1To provide support to the Relationship Manager to develop relationships with targeted employers.This involves:-researching the sector for trends, business issues, structure-researching the targeted employers to help assess the attractiveness of that organisation to the Companies objectives-generate outbound calling data-assist the Relationship Manager in pulling together a response to customer requirements and liaising with internal departments to investigate options for customer proposals-support the Relationship Manager to deliver customer presentations -provide advice and solutions in response to customer requirements, matching Companyproducts and services to generate conversions for membership and commercial growth-to support any outbound calling, as directed by the Relationship Manager in order to follow up on customer enquiries or prospects for sale conversions and market research.-be a point of contact for customers in the absence of the Relationship Manager-co-ordinate and manage activity associated with the ongoing maintenance of the customer relationship, this will include liaising with external suppliers, other internal departments and the appropriate customer contact.2To provide support to the Business Development Manager to improve understanding and cross functional commitment to customer needs and the activity of the team.This involves:-Managing the ‘employer champions group’ which is a group of peer level colleagues representing all areas of the Company.The aim of the group is to generate and maintain interest in customer needs from a corporate perspective across the business units, build a support network and through sharing knowledge, spot opportunities for cross functional working in support of the customer and Company objectives.-Coordinate and write the ‘Working with Employers’ monthly newsletter which aims to promote the activities of the team and customer feedback to a wide audience.3To support the Business Development Manager to develop marketing materials to drive sales conversion in the customer relationships.This involves:-Project Coordination role, liaising with Corporate Marketing and external suppliers, -Writing marketing briefs with the guidance of the Business Development Manager,-Gaining input and feedback from the Employers Team 4To support the Business Development Manager to develop and embed business processes and practices for the department into the wider CIPD working practices.This involves: -liaising with internal departments to investigate ways of working to support customer requirements 5To monitor quality standards and reporting for all team activity.This involves:-To work with the Relationship Managers to ensure that all customer proposals and reports are produced to meet the department’s terms of business and quality standards,-As part of a team, maintain contact management systems to agree standards and update knowledge management systems, to ensure data is accurate and complete to support business development process,-To ensure filing, online and paper based and archiving systems are accurately maintained and updated on a regular basis.
