An excellent salary package is on offer, with a £1,000 increase after just 6 months, and another £1,000 when trained on the mortgage system JOB DESCRIPTION Title: Branch Sales Consultant Purposes: - To promote and sell the Society’s products and services to customers and potential customers in person, using the telephone and in writing. - To generate ancillary income by identifying and generating sales leads. - To generate volumes of sales on core Society products and in doing so meet sales targets. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: - In all duties, comply with relevant legislation and Society policy including branch best practice. - Always act honestly and with integrity to safeguard the resources for which directly or indirectly responsible. - Report circumstances, which give rise to the suspicion of money laundering or fraud. - Report situations where it is believed there may be a conflict of interest, for example involving an external organisation with which the Society has dealings. Job SpecificSales and Service - Carry out co-operatively any tasks assigned by the Manager or Assistant manager and at all times work as a team member to ensure the smooth running of the branch. - Maintain knowledge of the Society’s products and services and their practical application to customer needs and requirements. - Identify opportunities to sell and achieve sales of the Society’s products and services in conformity with personal targets allocated - Maintain an awareness of security issues and the working of security devices in the branch and keep safely any keys assigned. - Demonstrate at all times the “Sales Through Service†skills. - Identify needs and gain commitment from potential customers - Provide a prompt and helpful service to visitors to the branch and to those calling by telephone. - Job Specific Sales and Service (continued) - Using the sales process to secure quality mortgage and ancillary business - Maintain full competence to use computer systems and applications in the branch Administration - Record details of all contacts with potential customers on the branch lead tracking system and follow up those contacts at the prescribed intervals. - Make outbound telephone calls and participate actively in calling campaigns. - Carry out all cashiering functions when assigned to counter duties. Competencies - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal, written and numeracy. - Ability to engage with customers and demonstrate listening skills and personal interest. - Ability to handle personal targets and to demonstrate drive and initiative to attain them. - Ability to work within and contribute to the success of a sales team. - Confident and positive approach to the concept of sales through service. - Computer literate. - Positive and enthusiastic. - Responsible and prepared to take ownership Hours of work are Mon-Fri 9.00 am - 5.30 pm + 1 in 2 Saturdays 9am-12pm Salary: £16100 basic- £3900 (OTE) Location: Brighton
