Description: Our client is a leading UK multi-disciplined construction contractor with broad capability across civil engineering, building & highway maintenance, with a multi million pound turnover, this rapidly growing company has an enviable reputation for quality, innovation and customer satisfaction.At this important stage of its growth and development the company requires a highly effective Commercial Manager to work with the Director responsible for the Highway Term Maintenance Division. The Division is forecasting revenues of approximately £70 million and has long term contracts with a number of London Boroughs. Reporting directly to the Director responsible for Highway Term Maintenance, specific responsibilities will include:·Reviewing job costs back to tenders ·Reviewing and recommending improvements to sourcing strategy for sub contract labour·Reviewing the utilization of plant·Reviewing and recommending improvements to processes and procedures to drive efficiency gainsThe successful candidate will demonstrate strong influencing skills, the ability to facilitate change and be a team player. An ability to work effectively with others while maintaining a strong commercial focus is essential. You will be IT literate with a construction background. A background in quantity surveying would be an advantage.
