Description: Senior Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor Milton Keynes Civil EngineeringA Senior Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor is required by my client to manage a civil engineering project from their office in Milton Keynes.The roleThe successful candidate will initially be based in the Milton Keynes office managing a project in Swindon. The role will involve site visits and you will be responsible for the day to day commercial issues of the civil engineering projects.The project is worth £3m and is due to run for 9months and thereafter you will be based on projects local to Milton Keynes and the Midlands.The project includes a mixture of; roads, drainage, bridges and river works. You will also be involved in subcontract procurement, administration and payment, applications to the Client, identifying opportunities within the procurement process, forecasting and cost/value reporting.You will be reporting to the Regional Quantity Surveyor and will be assisted by a Junior Quantity Surveyor.RequirementsPrevious NEC, ECC or ICE contract experience would be ideal, as would 2-5 years commercial civils experience. The successful candidate will also be able to run two or three of their own jobs unsupervised. A degree or RICS qualification would also be beneficial.Remuneration Up to £40,000 per annum depending on experience Pension scheme Healthcare Company car or car allowance schemeThe ClientMy client is a major UK Civil Engineering contractor, with over 50 years in the industry.
