Description: Butcher/Meat Manager required to look after, train and develop a team of employees within a progressive food manufacturing business. You will be responsible for leading the team and driving productivity to ensure that daily performance targets are being met whilst continually challenging and improving the operating procedures and quality standards. You will need to have an excellent knowledge of meat (Lamb, Beef, Poultry, Game and fish) with experience of working mincing and slicing machines. As the Butcher you will set a fantastic example to the team with regards to time keeping and absenteeism. Applicants must be prepared to work within a chilled environment and the hours of work will be 5 days a week (occasional Saturdays) from 6.30am to mid afternoon. The starting salary is c£20k with a company pension, private healthcare and both an individual and company bonus scheme. This vacancy is based in the West London area which is commutable from Harrow, Uxbridge, Hounslow, Slough, Camden, Lewisham, Croydon, Wandworth, Watford and St Albans. We would like to hear from butchers with excellent Knife Skills and previous management and butchery experience. Applicants with experience of working for a meat processor will also be considered.
