An exciting new position for a skilled merchandiser with report generation experience has become available within Harrods Food Merchandising. Reporting to the Head of Merchandise Planning you will be in-charge of the production of weekly analysis packs, stock improvement plans as well as promotional analysis.RequirementsThe individual would benefit from previous knowledge of SAP however this is not essential and ideally have enough experience to hit the ground running. Having excellent communication skills and a professional, positive manner is essential for you to build strong relationships with suppliers to enable flexible ordering and therefore minimise risk to the business.ResponsibilitiesFinancial year budgeting Season planning OTB planning and management Sales, stock and margin planning In season trading and analysis Sale planning and trading Stock planning ? aged and current stocks Work in conjunction with the GMM, buyers and Head of Merchandise Planning to build financial year plans to agreed levels and deadlines. To incorporate future in-store development plans and to reflect any changes within the directorate Split the financial year plan down to season plans in order to drive the relevant OTB for the season. Agree OTB with all relevant stakeholders (buyers, GMM, Merchandise Planning) according to the critical path and communicate the final plan to the buying offices. Monitor the spend of OTB in season and ensure that agreed targets are adhered to. Alert relevant stakeholders of potential overspends and ensure the correct processes are followed to resolve any overspends Plan weekly sales, stocks and margin at MCH1 level for each season. Ensure plans are loaded to the correct deadlines and that plans are rolled up to ensure a sensible top line level Monitor and report on in-season trade to ensure that all opportunities are potentialised. Communicate kpis such as sales, margin, stock, sell through, percentage delivered, etc to all relevant stakeholders Reforecast where relevant within season Work with the buying offices to plan end of season sale (week 13 process) in terms of markdown levels, aged stocks, end of season stock levels etc. Ensure relevant reports are generated within the Sale to ensure the buying offices are equipped with the information to enable them to trade effectively Constantly manage stock levels to ensure overall levels are maintained. Manage aged stocks to ensure that kpi targets are achieved whilst maintaining maximum margin possible Develop relationship with the buying offices to maintain an open and honest dialogue Work with Head of Merchandise Planning to continually probe sales and processes to ensure that a maximum service is achieved
