If you are bright and analytical, able to work to deadlines and can see how to win the commitment of Senior Industry professionals you should consider a role as a Conference Producer/Seminar Manager.Job descriptionA highly responsible role with a wide range of duties from initial conference concept to completion: *Initiate and develop new conference ideas*Carry out market research to determine viability of a conference *Extensively research a conference programme through personal meetings, telephone and email*Identify and contact potential speakers *Put together a complete conference programme*Identify potential sponsors and work with the Sponsorship Manager in agreeing a sales plan and securing sponsorship *Liaise with speakers throughout the time leading up to the conference, as well as post-conference speaker liaison *Work with conference chairs and speakers in promoting the event*See the conference brochure through artwork *Write copy for the sales letter and brochure*Closely work with the Marketing Manager to identify appropriate marketing channels and to ensure that the correct market segments are reached *Research competitor events and identify their strengths and weaknesses *Brief and work closely with the Conference Co-ordinator to ensure that all logistical operations for the conference are going smoothly*Monitor the quality of the speakers' presentations*Run the conference on the day*Involves international travelSkillsA successful candidate needs to be someone who has the following skills: *Ability to work well under pressure, meet strict deadlines and use initiative *Strong commercial acumen*Good communication and interpersonal skills *Team player with a pro-active attitude and the ability to solve problems promptly and in a professional manner *Attention to detail and accuracy *Multi-tasking and the ability to handle a number of projects simultaneously *is well read*has initiative, energy and enthusiasm
