Description: This role’s primary function is to understand the business they serve intimately, thus enabling them to advise the business on all information risk control and process issues. The candidate will be based in Bournemouth but part of a larger team located primarily in London. Occasional travel to London required.The experienced Controls person should have some knowledge of the corporate risk program and issues at the top of the corporate risk agenda. This involves liaising with a number of Internal (Technology Controls Office, Audit, Compliance, Legal) and External groups (Bank of England, Federal Reserve, FSA, PWC). The Controls person will need to be a fluent communicator at all levels and will often be required initiate and drive actions, agendas and meetings.Current TasksSecurity Administration - rules, new process, controls and reportingExternal Access to third party clients and vendorsAudit reporting - assisting with gap analysis, ensuring compliance with rest of firmCompliance - liaison for technical and business process questions and overlapsManage technical risk acceptance process, CSA’s, SOX and reportingManage adherence to the firm's IT policies and procedureManage incidents and information risk issues.Data Privacy issuesEnsure that technology solutions use appropriate monitoring toolsetsResponsibilities in brief:Develop, implement, and manage Information Risk program in line with business strategies, priorities and global risk initiatives.Advise management and users on Information security risks.Conduct and co-ordinate Information security awareness programs for the business.Focal point for risk issues regarding corporate policy and processes for external connectivity.Focal point for Information risk acceptance process.Focal point for CSA’sFocal point for SOX requirementsFacilitate awareness and understanding of and compliance with Information Risk Policies and Standards.Focal point for active monitoring of business infrastructure and applications.Link the business with Legal, Compliance and Audit processes.Ad-hoc control and process issues.Producing management information statistics.
