Our client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Account Handler. Responsibilities include:The provision of efficient administrative and technical support to designated Account Executive in servicing insurance needs.Building and maintaining the Personal Accident Account.Provision of support to allocated Account Executives, ensuring all necessary information and paperwork is delivered punctually.Liaison with clients to be able to service their requirements and deal with any queriesLiaison with insurers to deal with their requirements and any queriesResponding to client and insurer correspondence, following up any diary and prioritising as appropriateThe job involves renewal preparation which includes obtaining the best possible terms from the best insurer available and taking new opportunities to review outstanding items/coverIn line with FSA requirements, regular reading of trade magazines and monthly insurance training sessions are undertaken.CPD is regularly carried out and loggedMaintaining current administration procedures Maintaining current administration procedures for current Personal Accident SchemeCompetencesMaintaining a high level of confidentiality at all time when dealing with client matters.Communicating information effectively to clients, insurers and staffStriving to achieve complete client satisfactionBuilding strong and longstanding relationships with clientsBuilding strong and longstanding relationships with insurers and maintaining a full understanding of the marketplace and conditions.Knowledge Required1-2 years experience in an insurance environmentGood written and verbal communication skillsGood decision making and negotiation skillsGood organisation skillsIT skillsOutlook, Word and Excel skills essential.Knowledge of a database desirable
