Description: A Senior Sustainability Consultant is urgently require dto join this expanding consultancy based in Birmingham. Ideal candidates for this role should hold relevant working experience in the field of sustainability, with demonstrable knowledge or experience in a wider field, for example EIA, Ecology, renewable energy. You should also hold an appropriate Degree. Further qualifications such as RTPI, Chartered environmentalist, membership if IEEM/ IEMA, BREEAM qualifications desirable. Duties of the role include: - Managing sustainability projects, including research, assessments and report writing - Identifying new business opportunities - Helping and advising clients to meet statutory sustainability requirements and climate change targets - Managing and mentoring more junior members of staff, aiming to keep your team at the forefront of providing environmental solutions for clients - Liaising with clients, developing relationships to continue future business - Collaborating with professionals from other fields to ensure targets are met As a senior sustainability consultant you will work as part of the Sustainability and Climate Change team of this expanding multidisciplinary consultancy. The consultancy offer environmental solutions for its clients at the forefront of the industry. You will be involved primarily in the area of BREEAM assessments, EcoHomes, Code for sustainable homes. Other areas you will be expected to be able to work in include carbon foot printing, SA/ SEA/ AA assessments, providing advice on climate change initiatives, sustainable regeneration strategies. You will manage your team and identify new business opportunities to develop the business stream in your area, and you will be expected to participate in projects at all levels including undertaking research, analysis and preparing appropriate reports and documentation.
