Description: Senior Contracts Officer / Senior Commercial Officer - Avionics / Electronics programmes - Leicester - to c £35,000Working within an Aerospace / Electronic Systems environment, the Senior Contracts Officer will be responsible for providing commercial guidance on compliance with contract requirements and actively pursuing the achievement of contract terms and milestones whilst identifying and exploiting commercial opportunities.To manage and be responsible for commercial and contractual aspects of bids and contracts. Ensure the timely and accurate submission of bids and proposals. Control all contract terms and conditions with customers and their flow down to the Major Subcontracts department. To lead and/or support the negotiation of new contracts as well as other business activities, including contractual arrangements with other companies (teaming/partnership etc.). Establish and maintain good business relationships. Applicants should have contractual experience, including bids / proposals in a commercial environment. A knowledge of UK MoD contract terms and Export contracting advantageous but not essential. Good communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence decisions at a senior level. A full understanding of commercial risks and liabilities. Experience of drafting proposals, contract terms and agreements, and administration of contracts or sub contracts. Well qualified to Degree level, ideally in a Business related subject.A team player. Accurate and dependable under pressure, prepared to take the initiative and to make decisions. Ability to organise and multi-task in a demanding and evolving environment.Salary to c £35,000 In order to comply with EAA regulations candidates will be required to provide an up-to-date CV together with proof of identity and qualifications.
