Description: :Test Design EngineerLocation:AylesburySalary:£25k per annumCompany:The client company are a major manufacturer and supplier of Aerospace components.They are involved in developing a diverse range of Manufacturing solutions to the aviation industry, which include engine control systems, actuation systems and aero structures.The company have many sites worldwide and can offer excellent career opportunities, training, excellent benefits as well as an interesting product range, which you will find on every aircraft in the world today.Purpose of the Role:The Test Engineer will be working in the testing Primary and Secondary Power Distribution boxes and cards. The Test Engineer will be responsible for testing units whilst the test procedure and the test rig is still in development and will be expected to assist in the transition to normal production. It is expected that the Test Engineer would move to an electronic engineering role once the transition to production has taken place.Skills:·Test Primary and Secondary Distribution Units including Analogue and Digital circuits by using Automated and Manual Test Equipment during development.·Work closely with Test Equipment Engineers to identify test equipment and test documentation faults and assist in any improvement and productionisation activities.·Train other operators in the use of new test equipment·Write failure mode reports for internal use and external communication to suppliers.·Work closely with Design Engineering for pre-production products.·Assist in the preparation of test specifications for new products.·Qualified to degree level in Electronic Engineering with some experience in an electronic engineering environment.Desirable Requirements·Knowledge of or experience with the following software tools:Cadence Concept (schematic capture), PSPICE (circuit simulation), Saber (circuit simulation), Mathcad, Simulink, Matlab, DOORS.·An understanding of electrical generator operation.·Familiarity with RTCA/DO-254.·Theoretical understanding of design for EMC.·Membership in IET.·Experience in military or civilian flight operations or maintenance.Benefits·25 days holiday·Dental Plan·PensionF10 Our Engineering Division provides professional consultancy, specialising in placing high calibre engineers, throughout the UK.
