Description: Our major Blue Chip Derby-based client is currently looking for a Cash Office Controller to work within the Finance Department on an ongoing temporary basis. The department provides accounting, purchase and sales ledger, payroll, cashier and expenses services within the company as a whole. Recent expansion of the area has increased their customer base from UK-located businesses to now include businesses from North America to Singapore, with further expansion planned for early 2007.Job Role:Administration of 31 Bank Accounts covering 18 businessesMaintenance of bank mandates and authority schedulesInterpretation of source authorisation / instruction documents, e.g.Payment Proposals, Manual Payment RequestsMake Purchase Ledger payments to suppliersTransact SAP sales related paymentse.g. Concessions, Commissions, RRSP, HMG LevyProcess miscellaneous payments on behalf of the businesse.g.manual cheque requestsAllocation of cash receipts to SAP Sales LedgerManage the Bank statement SAP uploads and interfaces with the General LedgerLiaison with internal customers to answer queries regarding cash related General Ledger transactionsRaising of General Ledger journals to post cash related source data and correction of errorsReconcile Bank Account Balances, Unpresented Cheques, Outstanding Lodgements & SAP Module interfaces to the General LedgerAdminister and ensure correct accounting of Exchange Rate contractsCreate and issue daily, weekly and APly Cash management reports in line with agreed Service Level Agreement timescales.
