Description: Financial Controller/ Qualified AccountantMy client is a leading international charity, an NGO with an excellent reputation. They are currently recruiting for a dynamic Financial Controller/ Qualified Accountant for their finance and IT department; the candidate will be fully qualified in CIMA, ACCA or ACA.This is a very diverse position and a very senior one within this organization. The Financial Controller/ Qualified Accountant has overall responsibility for the Finance, IT and office administration functions. Excellent staff management skills are essential; you will have a team of five reporting into you (including a Finance Officer and an IT Officer).Main duties:- Responsible for all financial management aspects of the UK charity, including business planning, accounting and budgeting- Producing year-end financial statements- Managing the needs of the IT and telecommunications department- Providing general office management support and assisting the Payroll Officer with payroll matters- Training and supervising the Finance and IT teams- Company Secretary dutiesPerson spec:- Fully qualified with CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CIPFA or other recognised professional accounting qualification- Significant experience at a senior level within a finance function - ideally you will currently be working as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, Head of Finance or Qualified Accountant- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Good IT skills and strong technical knowledge- Previous experience of managing a team- Experience within the charity, NGO or overseas aid sectors is a distinct advantage.My client offers a very good basic salary, outstanding benefits and a unique working environment.
